2026-02-12Guide

Polygon Annotations

Polygons let you highlight areas on the map: boundaries, regions, zones, and anything that is easier to express as an area instead of a point or line.

Create a polygon

  1. Open a project in the map editor
  2. Choose the Polygon tool
  3. Click to add vertices
  4. Click the first point (or finish action) to close the shape
  5. Enter a name (required) and save

Edit geometry (drag vertices)

  • Select the polygon, click Edit
  • Drag vertices to reshape the polygon
  • Save or cancel from the panel

Style (stroke + fill)

Polygons support styling controls for readability:

  • Stroke color / width / opacity
  • Fill color / opacity

Area

The polygon info panel shows the area, and it updates live while you drag vertices in edit mode.

Limits

  • On the Free plan, you can create up to 10 polygons per project

FAQ

Why is editing disabled in shared view? Shared projects are read-only.
