2026-02-12Guide
Polygon Annotations
Polygons let you highlight areas on the map: boundaries, regions, zones, and anything that is easier to express as an area instead of a point or line.
Create a polygon
- Open a project in the map editor
- Choose the Polygon tool
- Click to add vertices
- Click the first point (or finish action) to close the shape
- Enter a name (required) and save
Edit geometry (drag vertices)
- Select the polygon, click Edit
- Drag vertices to reshape the polygon
- Save or cancel from the panel
Style (stroke + fill)
Polygons support styling controls for readability:
- Stroke color / width / opacity
- Fill color / opacity
Area
The polygon info panel shows the area, and it updates live while you drag vertices in edit mode.
Limits
- On the Free plan, you can create up to 10 polygons per project
